Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Brien Blatt ("I", "me", or "the Seller") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit brienblatt.com (the "Website"). By using this Website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Identity and Contact

Website Operator: Brien Blatt
Location: New York, United States
Email: Available through the contact form on this Website
For privacy inquiries: Use the contact form with "Privacy Inquiry" in the subject line

2. Information We Collect

Contact Form Submissions

When you submit our contact form, we collect: your name (if provided), email address, and the contents of your message. We also collect technical metadata including your IP address, browser type, and submission timestamp for security and spam prevention purposes.

Newsletter Subscriptions

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect: your email address, and any name you provide. We also collect consent timestamp, IP address, and engagement data (opens, clicks) for delivery optimization.

Server Logs and Analytics

We automatically collect standard server log data: IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, referring pages, and timestamps. This data is used for security, analytics, and improving Website performance.

Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for Website functionality. We do not use non-essential tracking cookies without your consent. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as opt-out requests.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Contact form responses: To reply to your inquiries (legitimate interest)
  • Newsletter delivery: To send you content you subscribed to (consent)
  • Security: To detect and prevent abuse, spam, and attacks (legitimate interest)
  • Analytics: To understand Website usage and improve content (legitimate interest)
  • Legal compliance: To comply with applicable laws and regulations (legal obligation)

4. Donations (Buy Me a Coffee / BTCPay Server)

The Support page contains outbound links to third-party donation processors. No personal or payment information is collected by this Website as part of a donation. When you click a donation link:

  • Buy Me a Coffee. You are redirected to buymeacoffee.com, operated by Buy Me a Coffee. Any information you provide there (name, email, payment details, public message) is collected and processed by Buy Me a Coffee under their own privacy policy (buymeacoffee.com/privacy-policy). If you complete a donation, I receive a notification that includes the donor name, amount, and any message you chose to leave publicly or privately — but not your card number or full billing address.
  • BTCPay Server (if enabled). Cryptocurrency donations made via a BTCPay Server instance are on-chain transactions. Wallet addresses, amounts, and timestamps are publicly visible on the relevant blockchain by design. No personal identity information is collected or associated with the donation by this Website unless you voluntarily include a message or email.
  • Recurring donations created on Buy Me a Coffee are managed entirely within their platform. Cancellation, receipts, and billing are handled by Buy Me a Coffee, not by this Website.

See Terms of Service § 17 for the full donation terms (non-refundable, not tax-deductible, 18+).

5. Email Delivery — Resend

When you submit our contact form or subscribe to our newsletter, your email address, any name you provide, the contents of your message, and related delivery metadata (including IP address, opens, clicks, and bounce events) are transmitted to and processed by Resend, an email delivery service operated by Plus Five Five, Inc. (2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, United States). Resend acts as our data processor under a Data Processing Addendum that incorporates the EU and UK Standard Contractual Clauses, and Plus Five Five, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension. Resend stores account data in the United States on AWS and is SOC 2 Type II compliant. A current list of sub-processors is at https://resend.com/legal/subprocessors; Resend's privacy policy is at https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
